Light of Christ Ministries, a sub-ministry of Cornerstone Church of Joliet exists to demonstrate the love of Christ in a tangible way for our neighbors in the Ridgewood and surrounding areas of Joliet’s East Side. This is a free service, with no strings attached to help our neighbors in times of distress with clearing yard waste and debris. Our free service at this time includes:
• Brush Removal
• Lawn Mowing
• Debris Cleanup- Bring to curb for garbage pickup
LOC will arrive with 2-3 volunteers to assist with tasks stated above that require up to 1 hour labor (3 man hours) for the crew. We will provide all tools, machinery, and garbage bags necessary for work approved by LOC. Because we do not have the facilities to dispose of yard waste and debris, larger items and brush that does not fit into an approved yard waste bag will be brought to the curb for resident’s waste management to dispose. We would also ask that the work area be free any hazardous materials for the safety of our crew, and animal waste.
